They are taught to refrain from smoking, drinking, or experimenting with drugs. I have observed in relationships among friends and family inside and outside of the church that holding a temple recommend does not guarantee a strong, happy marriage. If everything she is taught is correct and the Mormon church is "true" she should be able to research any anti-Mormon books or movies and prove their criticisms are lies. How am I certain. Right off the bat, I have to admit that being married and committed to our marriage has been of utmost importance for my husband and I - throughout all of his training. Honestly, it isn't her fault. As an atheist with Buddhist undertones who married a non-practicing, god-believing Mormon at the height of his questioning, I find this so interesting to me.
