Arizona Latinas Rising is an initiative of the Latina Giving Circle to increase Latina participation in executive level professional and leadership development opportunities. The Latinas who serve our community as leaders, educators, businesswomen, and volunteers often go without opportunities to receive professional and leadership development, as well as recognition of their achievements. Arizona Latinas Rising encourages women to apply for professional and leadership development programs and request support in seeking nomination for boards, commissions and prestigious recognition.

Empowering Latinas
To promote cultural arts, community media, and civic engagement as a way of building healthy and empowered Latino communities. Through our bilingual newspaper, El Tecolote , we inform Bay Area Latino communities about the issues that affect their lives. Each year we produce an array of visual, literary and performing arts events and activities that involve local community members. The Juan R. Fuentes Gallery showcases the talent of established and emerging artists whose work reflects the nuances of Latino life. The internship positions we offer are flexible. Unlike internships, there are no time and duration requirements for people who want to volunteer with our organization. We could use all the help we can get.
